Welcome to The Writing Lab, where imagination takes center stage and stories come to life! In this beginner-friendly creative writing course for kids ages 8–14, young writers will explore the building blocks of great storytelling — from developing characters and settings to crafting exciting plots and vivid descriptions. Through fun prompts, writing games, and plenty of creative freedom, students will unlock their inner storyteller and gain confidence in expressing their ideas on the page. Whether your child dreams of writing fantasy adventures, silly comics, or heartfelt poems, this course is the perfect place to start their writing journey. By the end of the class, each student will have a small collection of original work they can be proud of — and the tools to keep writing long after the final session. This session is also a great way to build your child's writing skills for academic purposes! Students will receive a journal for writing in before the course begins!
